Starting January 31, 2025, a new requirement will come into effect for all shipments to the United Kingdom: the SSD (Safety & Security Declaration).

What is the SSD?
The SSD is a Safety & Security Declaration that must be completed before the vehicle arrives at the UK border. This measure aims to strengthen the control of goods entering the United Kingdom and is part of the post-Brexit regulatory framework.
Who is affected?
All carriers and shippers sending goods to the United Kingdom will be required to comply with this new requirement, or they risk delays or customs holds.
The SSD requires specific shipment data, including:
✔️ The sender and the recipient
✔️ The nature of the goods
✔️ The mode of transport used (truck, train, ship, airplane)
✔️ The planned route and the point of entry into the UK
